Vision Insurance is a great benefit that is typically offered on a voluntary basis. A good quality vision plan should be $10 or less a month per employee and can provide great value to a policy holder. The main thing you need to remember if you have a vision plan is USE IT! There are great benefits on most insured vision plans and you can normally get new glasses or contacts for very little cost when using a vision insurance plan. Did you know that an eye exam is one of the only ways a doctor can actually see into your body without making in incision or conducting a procedure? Through a vision exam, doctors can actually detect early stages of cancer and blood disorders. Interesting stuff huh? And, you can get this and your eyecare needs all for less annual premium than what you can easily pay for one regular doctor's visit.
